The Beauty Queens pay tribute to Pitoy Moreno

Shamcey Supsup, 2011 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe and Miss Universe 3rd Runner-Up

Venus Raj, 2010 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe and Miss Universe 4th Runner-Up

Pitoy Moreno, more popularly known as the Fashion Czar of Asia and one of the moving forces behind the annual Binibining Pilipinas, was given a Tribute Gala participated in by reigning and former beauty queens, socialites, important personalities, and fashion models. The homage is long overdue and it is but fitting to give the same to one of the Philippines’ most respected designers. Everyone involved in the project was only too willing to give their time and in the process, honor an individual who had helped in making them look more beautiful and elegant through the years.

This animal print cover up and my feather necklace totally just made the look bohemian. And because my hair was all curled up (with smokey eyes pa), no need to excessorize.  BMS.

I was part of the secondary sponsors and we had a color theme- bronze and brown. My cousin gave me the fabric five days before the wedding and I didn't have time to fit and all because of my busy schedule last week- Lyle Ibanez to the rescue! I emailed him my peg and he was able to do it in three days- what a lifesaver! Here's how I styled the dress. I wanted to be as simple as I could because it was just a small wedding. Played it safe by wearing only touches of brown. BMS.

I chose to be safe and wore a simple corset with high waist bottoms. You know, sometimes the shoes really makes the entire outfit look nice. I recently got new pairs of shoes from Sugarfree and I can't stop myself from loving their colored pumps- they're very fashionable (and incredibly high). I chose the bright lime ones and it makes an outfit instantly beautiful. I normally order wedges online because I'm very meticulous when it comes to heels- I have to check it personally to see if the heels are thin/high enough, but this one is just perfect- it looks so classy! Now, every outfit that I want to stand out, I always think of this pair- just like how it made this outfit look adorable. BMS.

Shalani Soledad’s Inno Sotto Wedding Gown

At a quiet ceremony in St Benedict Church, Valenzuela councilor Shalani Soledad swapped vows and a chaste kiss with Pasig City Representative Roman Romulo. The former girlfriend of President Benigno Aquino III (who did not attend the wedding) had Inno Sotto design a “simple wedding gown” in light of the recent disaster in northern Mindanao. (In fact, the couple decided to donate part of their wedding budget to help the victims of Sendong, and asked their guests to make donations instead of giving them wedding gifts.) Despite these budgetary restrictions, Inno Sotto did not disappoint, and everyone who attended the wedding seemed to love her dress.

There aren’t any clear photos of Shalani’s wedding gown, but based on what I can see, the design is unmistakably her – feminine yet unfussy, with minimal embellishments and beading. The strapless dress featured a flattering v-neck with a fitted French lace bodice, and a full princess skirt made of 17 layers of tulle. A different designer, Dennis Lustico, designed the dresses of her entourage. The groom was also in designer garb – a navy blue tuxedo, white shirt, and gray bow tie by Hugo Boss and black leather shoes by Louis Vuitton.
The happy couple enjoyed a reception in Nuvali and will be honeymooning in Rome, Italy.
